A Family's Unspoken Love - Part 15

She entered the room, closed the door, and sat on the floor, feeling overwhelmed.

"Why, Krishna? Why are you treating me like this?" She cried out, her voice filled with anguish. Tears flowed silently down her cheeks.

Suddenly, Hari's face flashed in her mind, and her tightly shut eyes snapped open.

"Harry... He..." She struggled to find the words, her mind racing.

She had suppressed these feelings for a long time, valuing her friendship with Hari and Achu above all else.

But now.

Mixed emotions swirled within her when Hari had confessed his love. She couldn't meet his gaze at that moment.

When he had revealed his feelings for a girl, he had carried a heavy burden. However, when she realized that girl was her, she felt a complex blend of happiness and sadness.

"Harry, you shouldn't have entered my life like this. It's all because of me..." Tears poured from her eyes like a torrential rain.

"They're planning this marriage, but I need to find a way out," she muttered through clenched teeth, her face flushed with anger.

With determination in her mind, she wiped away her tears and rose from her seated position.

"Dee, why are you ignoring calls from Hari and Achu? You haven't answered their calls for two days," Krishna asked, his voice filled with frustration.

Achu had come to her house because she hadn't responded to their calls.

"Achu, I..." Deepu began but was interrupted when Achu grabbed her hand and dragged her to the side of the staircase.

"What's going on with you? Why are you treating us like this? We were worried sick, you know," Achu exclaimed, her eyes brimming with tears from anger.

"Achu, for me..." Deepu started, searching for the right words.

"Are you starting to doubt the love we've shown you is genuine?" Achu scoffed, her words cutting deeply.

Those words shattered Deepu's heart. She shook her head, her eyes filled with tears.

"Father..." She mumbled, her voice barely audible.

She bowed her head in despair, unable to find the right words.

"You don't know anything, Dee. You've learned to pretend you don't know. What's wrong with Harry? He would have treated you with the utmost respect. Staying in this house is like self-imprisonment.

If you were with him, you'd have the life you've always wanted. Don't sacrifice your happiness for anyone else. Don't you want what he wants?" Achu questioned with intensity.

"Achu... I... I don't know what to do," Deepu cried, her eyes brimming with tears.

Seeing her like this, Achu's heart sank. She forgot all her frustration and embraced Deepu.

"The people here don't care about your happiness, but we're not like them. You need to remember that. Don't sacrifice your own happiness for their sake. I don't know what more to say to you," Achu comforted her.

"Achu... I'm sorry. I couldn't bear it without you. I don't know what to do," Deepu admitted, her voice muffled by sobs.

"Dear, are you considering another marriage?" Achu asked softly.

Achu patted her on the back, offering reassurance. "There's something you need to understand. You're not a child anymore.

You have the right to make your own decisions and act on them. No one can control you without your consent, Deepu. Stop crying now. Make your own choices."

Every word Achu spoke resonated deeply with Deepu.

"You just need to take your time and think about Hari, make a decision that feels right to you. He'll wait as long as it takes. That's why I'm speaking up for him, because I know he values you like gold.

I hope you've realized that over the years. And don't say you don't love him, because he's already a part of you," Achu concluded with a smile.

Deepu looked at her with wide eyes, her grief momentarily forgotten.

"Why, Deepu? Are you playing hide-and-seek with your feelings for him?" Achu teased.

"For me... There's nothing like that," Deepu replied, her cheeks reddening like a child caught in a lie.

"Yes, yes," Achu laughed.

Deepu rolled her eyes, a hint of a smile on her lips.

"Anyway, where's Gayatri? She's not here, is she?" Deepu asked, looking around.
